Is it worth having the Audi dealer do the 60,000k service? I have a 2003 Audi TT which is no longer under warranty, so the dealer will charge me for service. Is it worth having the dealer do the 60K service, or am I better of going to a Audi shop?

Audi Servicing - What is your experience of cheaper alternatives to main Dealer? UK? Anyone offer advice on finding cheaper service deals for audi cars. Its now the 100,000mile service and i dont think its worth the whacking £400 the Audi garage is charging to change oils/filter etc. Basically they are charging for the reset of the dash service light and the Audi stamp in the log book. When a car gets >100k miles i think this is less essential. Any experiences of the national/online service that is available?

Lost key to my Audi A4 1998 is dealer only option? So after a long night out lost my car key from my car to my buddies apartment. My car is locked and my key is one of those quare ones with the button you push and the key flips up. Also has an alarm button on it. What happens if you put a deposit on a car and the dealer goes bust? Talking about main dealers like toyota, audi, merc, etc, no small independent sellers. Just that i put a deposit on a car with audi, but a TOYOTA dealer near me has closed up. Heard it went bust due to the recession. I have a 2006 Audi A4, how can I make the stereo sound better? I love the car except for the sound system. I had a loaner 2007 a few months ago that also had the standard sound system. But it sounded much better than my 06. The dealer told me Audi changed the speakers for 07. I'm just looking for some speakers with better clarity without spending a small fortune. Perhaps changing the four big speakers. Any suggestions? Hi Audi-Nate, Both cars had the same standard stereo (Not Bose) except that the 07, I believe, didn't have a tape player. It's definitely not the settings that made the 07 sound better than the 06. I noticed a considerable difference in the sound quality from a cd I had played quite a bit in my 06. When I played it in the 07 loaner it sounded much better.

Audi Advantage service question! Dealer wants to charge me!!? I own and 2005.5 A4 2.0T with 21,000 miles on it. My Service Indicator in my dash says I need service in 100 miles. I called my dealership to schedule an appointment. The service rep I spoke with said that this was considered an "In-between Service" and was NOT coverend under Audi's Advantage Warranty (4yrs/50K). I was wondering if this was legit or not. If it is, how much $ am I looking at (probably just need an oil change, and maybe pads....)

When does a timing belt need to be replaced on 2003 Audi A4? I have a 2003 Audi A4 with 75K miles on it. The dealer is pushing to have the timing belt replaced, but it isn't recommended in the user manual until 105K miles. I have seen a lot of problems with premature breakage on the late 90s models. Has this problem been fixed or is it still an issue? I am driving from OK to Alaska in January and really don't want to have it break driving through Canada.... Thanks!
What could I trade our 2000 Audi A4 Quattro for? We LOVE our car BUT we have 2 children and we are toooo tight in the car. Audi extended the warranty on MAF sensor - but...? Just came back from Audi dealer. I was told that the MAF sensor warranty was extended to 7 year or 70K mile. (a) does anybody know where I could lookup these "hidden" or extended warranty information (b) Has anybody else heard about the MAF warranty and if these extended warranty was 7 year OR 70K (or which ever comes first)? I'm asking because my car is past the 7 years mark (yr 2000) but not the 70K mile mark yet. (c) anybody know a good place to buy a replacement MAF sensor (for 2000 Audi A4 1.8T)? What can I do if my new car an Audi A6 with 15K miles needs to have a new transmission? I am concern that my brand new Audi with 15K miles needs a new transmission.
